From the affluent mini-city of Lekki in Lagos, Nigeria, through rural Kenya, to Regent in Sierra Leone, then up North Africa the effects of climate change is hitting Africa very hard, therefore, impeding progress on the development goals and this calls for urgent action and strategies to adapt to the changing conditions.
The Alliance 54 Climate Change Forum will bring together businesses, investors, governments, entrepreneurs, innovators and academics to discuss how climate change is currently affecting Africa and businesses; to help them understand what role climate finance plays in achieving sustainable development in the region and how it could be mobilised to prevent the situations from getting to the tipping point.
